Conclusion

Ten RCTs were included. Drug-coated balloons significantly reduced the need for further target lesion revascularization after six months (odds ratio 0.24, 95 per cent confidence interval 0.11 to 0.53, P=0.0004), one year (0.28, 0.13 to 0.62, p=0.002) and two years (0.25, 0.1 to 0.61, p=0.002).
